THE SCHOOL
Founded in Frankfurt in 1981, the "zentrum für deutsche sprache und kultur" offers effective German language instruction and helps to learn about different cultures. The school receives students from all over the world.
The "zentrum" is unique in its friendly and welcoming
atmosphere; its curriculum is entertaining and its
results are excellent.
The "zentrum für deutsche sprache und kultur" is located in a quiet and central but urban part of Frankfurt. Nice cafés, restaurants and shops are located around the school. Means of public transport will take you to the city centre in a few minutes.
The "zentrum" cooperates with language schools throughout Germany and abroad, offering full year programmes at reasonable tuition fees. Our programmes are officially recognized and certified.

Compact Classes
16 units per week
The classes (usually in the afternoon) take place in groups of 10 to 16 students. We offer all levels: from beginners' to advanced. Compact classes are designed for students who wish to study the German language on a regular basis in the course of several months. Our classes will develop your linguistic comprehension in terms of reading and listening, you will train your communicational abilities. as well as phonetics and your grammar skills. You can combine compact classes with an additional programme. Every wednesday there are cultural activities and linguistic training programmes. Cultural activities programmes are free (except for tickets, fare, admission to museums, etc.)
Compact Plus
20 units per week
These intensive courses are offered at certain course dates. Classes are from Monday to Friday. We offer all levels: from beginners' to advanced. These courses will systematically develop your linguistic comprehension in terms of reading and listening and will train your speaking and writing skills. Compact Plus courses prepare you for exams such as "Zertifikat Deutsch" or "Mittelstufendiplom". These courses are designed for students who wish to study more intensively and/or aim for entering a German univeristy.
Combined-Plus Classes
36 units per week
In case you intend to learn German more intensively, we recommend to combine a Compact Plus and a Compact Class: you may attend morning and/or afternoon and/or evening classes of different levels. (However, this option is not possible for complete beginners.)

Events
Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen ...
Get in touch with TV and radio shows! Visiting the production sites and studios of TV channels, like "Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen" (ZDF) located in Mainz, or of radio stations like "Hessischer Rundfunk" (HR) in Frankfurt, will show you the work of reporters and of the technical staff.
High-rise
The impressive skyline of Frankfurt is unique in Europe, representing urbanity and self-confidence. On a sightseeing tour along the high-rises you will learn interesting facts about architecture, urban planning, and construction.
How to get an Apple into a Bottle
"Possmann" is the name of a press house famous for its cider. At the "Possmann" production site you will learn about the secrets of cider production.
Urban Life and Work
Numerous famous architects, e.g. Richard Meier, Sir Norman Foster or Helmut Jahn, have formed the character of Frankfurt. Visions of urban life and work are linked with their architecture. Stated objective: to provide a higher quality of living.

On the banks of the river Main you'll find one of Frankfurt's central parks where you may relax, have a picnic and enjoy the sight of the Frankfurt skyline
